I haven't been posting much lately because life has been very hectic for the past few weeks. Things are happening on the balcony garden, though and I have started harvesting some of my baby salad leaves. Today I had some for lunch.
It's a take on Hobz biz Zejt - a Maltese delicacy. My baby salad leaves added a nice crunch!

Oh, it must be spring since you are harvesting salad leaves. How exciting. Fresh salad grown at home is always the tastiest. Your snack looks lovely. Do you have connections with Malta?
ReplyDeleteExciting indeed! And, yes, I am half-Maltese. :)
ReplyDeleteThe snack does look very nice. It must be great to eat what you have grown.
ReplyDeleteLooks good. Can I have some?
ReplyDeleteLove it. In Catalunya they have "pa amb tomaquet" - same idea. So simple, yet so delicious. I love the idea of briny little capers on there. Will do that next time.
